As part of New Amsterdam Jazz’ mission to amplify the jazz scene in the Netherlands, NAJ supported the development of a number of local projects supporting the infrastructure of the scene, stages and venues to build audiences and create opportunities for younger talent to play.
BUILDING AUDIENCES & REACH
New Amsterdam Jazz started supporting Jazz in Amsterdam, a comprehensive concert calendar of all Jazz concerts happening daily in Amsterdam.
Some statistics:
“The website was consulted about 300 times per day this year, about twice as many as the year before. The number of followers on Instagram also nearly doubled after a year of NAJ’s support, from 2.7k to about 5k followers. These numbers are still growing steadily. Especially the growth on Instagram seems to be increasing in speed. The number of gigs that people submit themselves to the calendar can be seen as active engagement of the venues and the music community.
